Studio JVD2 is a design collective founded by Jens van Deursen and Jamie van Duuren. Their collaborative practice revolves around sensory perception and the experience of touch, exploring how material, form, and surface can invite interaction and evoke emotional responses.

The Haptic Experiment

Loop is an experimental furniture object that challenges expectations and invites touch. It combines two opposing qualities: hard enough to hold objects, yet soft enough to sit on comfortably. Handcrafted from wooden panels and woven Moosgummi round cord, it offers a tactile experience that encourages exploration. Loop investigates how shape, material, and perception influence our experience of an object, becoming a haptic experiment that merges comfort and functionality in a surprising way.
